Green remodelling, which basically involves the use of green materials such as recycled denim insulation, is being seen as the new eco-friendly way of remodelling homes and other structures. But the question that arises is that is green remodelling more eco friendly than no remodelling? The recycled products and items used in green remodelling are no doubt friendly for the environment individually, but when it comes to replacing existing old energy inefficient sections or appliances, green remodelling would seem inappropriate because of the materials and energy that goes into making the green products. On the plus side green remodelling is a great way of reducing toxic exposure, which would have increased if the old energy-inefficient drywall or PVC products were continued to be used.
